Cookies
In accordance with Section 89 of Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications, we hereby inform you that our servers use so-called cookies for their operation.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files (short text files) that are stored on individual computers by the web browser. Without these files, browsing the web would be more complicated and less convenient. Thanks to cookies, a visited website remembers the user's actions and settings, so they don't have to enter them again. Repeat visits are therefore easier and more productive for the user.
Cookies can generally be divided into two types:
Session cookies – are stored on your device only for the duration of the session (website visit). Most often they allow information to be kept when moving from one web page to another (for example, adding a product to the cart in an e-shop and continuing with the purchase).
Persistent cookies – remain on your computer longer. They help us identify your device when you visit again (they do not allow us to identify you personally in any way, and we store the relevant data fully anonymised), and thereby allow us to tailor our website and ads to your interests.
Another group are so-called third-party cookies. These are controlled by third parties that obtain and collect the data. Examples include cookies for traffic analysis by Google Analytics, or cookies of advertising system operators used on our website.
Cookies pose no danger to your data and are not used to obtain sensitive personal data. We use cookies exclusively for measurement and, in general, to ensure your maximum satisfaction. We do not use cookies to identify users or to misuse login details.
Every user has the option to refuse the use of these files. Please note, however, that in some cases it may not be possible to display a certain service or product.
Cookies usually take up a few kilobytes on your device, so they take up almost no disk space.
What do we use cookies for?
Customising settings
We use cookies to store information that affects how the website looks and behaves. This makes it possible to personalise the website without having to set it up on every visit. This may include, for example, your preferred language, text size or choice of service.
Statistical purposes
To better understand what interests our readers and how they behave on our website, we use Google Analytics. It stores anonymous cookies on every visit. This information tells us how many users visit our website, which sections they view and how often. This information is anonymised and is not linked to any specific person. You can find details about Google Analytics here.
How can I change the cookie settings on my computer?
If your browser allows the use of cookies, we will assume that you agree to the use of standard cookies on our websites. If you do not want these cookies to be stored, you can block their use.
You can set up and manage cookies in your browser. Every standard browser supports cookie management (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.).
Within cookie management, you can delete, block, disable or allow each individual cookie for individual websites.
You can find the cookie management options in your browser's help section. For the main browsers, you can find information here:
If you have any questions, you can contact us by e-mail at ahoj@webiri.cz.
